New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings’ head physiotherapist Tommy Simsek has vehemently refuted ex-Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh’s allegations of MS Dhoni punching objects in frustration following the team’s elimination by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2024. In a widely circulated comment on Instagram, Simsek dismissed the claims of Dhoni causing any damage as 'utter nonsense'.
During a recent interview with Sports Yaari, the retired off-spinner had revealed:
“RCB was celebrating and they deserved to celebrate because of the way they won. I was watching the whole scene from above because I was present there. RCB was celebrating and CSK had lined up to shake hands, RCB were a little late to reach CSK. By the time Team RCB finished their celebration, (Dhoni) went inside and he punched a screen outside the dressing room. I was watching from above but it is okay that every player has his own emotions, it happens.”
Tommy Simsek Denies the Allegations:
In response to Harbhajan’s claims, CSK’s long-serving physiotherapist Tommy Simsek was quick to set the record straight. Simsek took to social media to address the swirling rumours, vehemently denying the incident. “This is absolute rubbish! MSD did not break anything, and I have never seen him aggressive after any match. Fake news!” Simsek posted on Instagram.

Tommy Simsek’s rebuttal left little room for speculation. Known for being an insider who has worked closely with Dhoni and the CSK team for years, his words carry significant weight. His statement reinforced what many fans have always believed about Dhoni—that he remains unflappable even in the toughest moments.
